Today I am getting on a plane and flying back to Washington. It was a good trip, despite spraining my ankle. I visited a botanical garden, a renaissance faire, and had some nice wine tasting.

It's an art to photograph a forest and turn it from a day hiker's guidebook to an allegory of ancient wisdom. These photographers show the mystical and wise side of our forests, giving each tree and shrub an opportunity to share its story.
